スイス・バーゼルにあるデジタルアート分野の重要美術館、HEK （Haus der Elektronischen Künste）にて5月9日より開催される企画展、New Rituals [for the End of the World] に参加しています。
本展は、危機や終末感が色濃く漂う現代において、テクノロジーとスピリチュアリティの交差点から生まれる「新しい儀式」や神話、象徴的な行為を探る国際グループ展です。
昨年のオーストリア・ArsElectronica Festivalでの《ディストピア・ランド》の展示がきっかけで招聘いただきました。
私は、2016年に制作した作品《都市のナマハゲ / Namahage in Tokyo》を展示します。日本の来訪神であるナマハゲを、都市とテクノロジーの文脈で再構築した作品です。ありがたいことに近年も海外の美術館や芸術祭を毎年巡回し続けております。制作にご尽力頂いた、各方面のプロフェッショナルの皆さまに改めて感謝申し上げます。

New Rituals [for the End of the World] opens May 9, at HEK (Haus der Elektronischen Künste) in Basel, Switzerland.
The exhibition explores new rituals, mythologies, and symbolic gestures emerging in response to the crises and apocalyptic atmosphere of our time, particularly at the intersection of technology and spirituality.
I will present Namahage in Tokyo, a work I originally created in 2016. The piece reimagines Namahage, a Japanese visiting deity, within the context of the contemporary city and technology. I am grateful that the work has continued to travel to museums and art festivals around the world in recent years.
